MFG STATE OF THE MARKET 2-23-25
The markets were exciting last week!! Gold (GLD) hit a new all-time high again and is back to trading at an extreme-high RSI reading. Bonds (TLT) is following right behind in a stage 2 uptrend below its 200-day SMA.
Bitcoin (BTC) is in a stage 1 accumulation zone in the narrow channel it’s been trading in above its 200-day SMA. The S&P 500 (SPY) and the Nasdaq (QQQ) closed below their 20-day SMA entering possible stage 4 declines.
Oil (USO) may be possibly rolling over into a stage 4 decline right at its 200-day SMA if price doesn’t hold its anchor point.
The Dow Jones (DIA) is in a confirmed stage 4 decline above its 200-day SMA. Consumer Staples (XLP) was the best performing sector of the S&P 500 (SPY), while Consumer Discretionary (XLY) was the worst. Be patient and stay in flow.
Last week was another awesome week for the MFG portfolio!! My weekly dividend income continues to compound. I locked in profits in quite a few trades and rolled profits forward into DOW, MRK, LMT, WBA, PEP, and KHC.
The MFG portfolio locked in profits in 18 trades— JNJ, HSY, HAS, CVS, T, VZ, GILD, IBM, SBUX, KO, MPLX, WELL, VTR, PM, CART, AEP, and UBER!!
We saw beautiful breakout moves out of consumer stapes stocks, which some tagged extreme-high RSI readings.
This week, I’m keeping a close eye on DIA, SPY, QQQ, USO, XLB, XLK, XLI, XLF, KRE, ARKK, WMT, HBI, BX, CLM, CRF, ASG, JPM, IRM, ET, EQT, MMM, COIN, AI, GOOG, RDDT, MSTR, CRWD, META, AMZN, TSLA, SNOW, MFA, SOFI, TREE, DPST, SOFX, TSLL, GGLL, AMZU, XYZ, AIR, CAVA, ETSY, JOBY, BARK, BORR, and TRUE.
I’m looking to accumulate shares of MRK, LMT, DOW, CUBE, USA, DLR, F, EG, WBA, KSS, FCX, MRNA, AMD, MSFT, GD, HUM, COP, DLR, AMDL, MSFU, and MSFX.
