The Ultimate Guide to Your Money Flow Playbook
A simple, efficient way to do your Sunday homework
Hey MFG,
I'm going to give you a step by step process with explanations to complete your Money Flow playbook. Your goal should be to complete your Sunday homework each week. This means you’ll need to study daily.
It takes 2-3 years to get really proficient at the stock market and that’s if, and assuming you actually want to do it and consistently apply yourself. It’s not about attitude; it’s about consistently staying in the game and getting in flow.
Getting rich and building wealth takes daily commitment and consistency. You must pick a blueprint and follow a straight path. I can't stress enough the value of your Sunday homework. Doing your Money Flow Playbook every weekend will keep you in flow with the markets. You will develop a solid foundation and learn to spot asset and sector rotation and market structure. Homework will keep you focused and rooted in the markets.
Homework is not about listing every stock. It's about being able to assess "The Wind" and the 11 sectors of the SPY, track the Dogs of the Dow, and scan which stocks across your portfolio you could add on stage 1s and take profits from stage 3s. The Money Flow playbook forces you to get in flow with the markets and reach your full potential.
Sunday Homework: The Money Flow Playbook
The purpose of being in the MFG is to become an astute investor and trader- a badass trader! The goal isn’t to do this as fast as you can or be lazy and run filters. The goal of homework is to actually give a shit and grow your wealth.
Sunday homework can be done from anywhere! I write my playbook in a notebook and on a white board depending on which home I’m at. I highly recommend you do this. You must check your charts daily to be a successful investor and trader. What you will do for free will pay you the most.
This is a simple, yet effective way to understand and study the markets, spot sector rotation, and expand your portfolio. If you do your Money Flow playbook every Sunday you will learn to be in flow with the markets and increase your net worth daily. Get in Flow!
Check your charts everyday and keep in flow!
If you need help with this, consider Gerald's course, "Getting Started with Stock Charts the Money Flow Way" and you will be ready to add shares to your portfolios on stage 1 when the markets are about to possibly rotate and trim profits when opportunities arise. CLICK HERE!
GP's Homework Whiteboard- Money Flow Format
My whiteboard from this week. I usually start my homework on Saturday and finish it up on Sunday. I write my homework down. There’s something magical about seeing it, touching it, writing it, thinking about it, and doing it. Do this over and over each week. Repetition is the Mother of skill.
The Ultimate Guide to Your Money Flow Playbook: 5 Step Process
If you practice this disciplined exercise of analyzing the markets using charts, you’re going to be a step ahead of the MFG students who don’t. Approach your homework with a systemic approach every time and repeat the same process every Sunday. This is only a 5 step process; don't overcomplicate it.
Write down the homework template in your notebook or whiteboard. You don’t have to, but try to follow my format as much as possible. Everyone's homework is not going to look the same. Make sure you have an area to write down your thoughts and trade ideas.
Assess The Wind or "The Big 7," and rank it from the best performing asset to the worst performing asset. Create a chart list called "The Wind" and add the 7 indexes the MFG tracks everyday. These include the S&P 500 (SPY), the Diamonds (DIA), the Nasdaq (QQQ), Bonds (TLT), Bitcoin (BTC), Gold (GLD) and OIL (USO).
As a Money Flow Trader, you should be able to see the larger fundamental picture. Where is the Wind? Is it blowing in our face or at our back? Which asset class is leading the way? We track and rank these indexes because it's "the wind" behind all asset movement!
Scan the 11 sectors of the S&P 500 (SPY), check what stage each sector is in and look at which ones present the best opportunities and trade ideas. I'm looking for stage 1s to add to and stages 3 to take gains in to roll profits forward.
Create another chart list with all 11 sectors. Also, download the SPDR app so you can easily look at the sectors at any time. You could take it one step further and look at the top 10 companies in each sector.
The 2024 Dogs of The Dow
The Dogs are SUPER important and at the core of my investing. You must understand and memorize these stocks.
Check the 2024 Dogs of the Dow by current doggishness using the Dogs site. CLICK HERE! Scroll down to either "current doggishness" or the performance table and select the "10 Highest Yield Dow Stocks Today" and write them down.
Create another chart list with all 10 Dogs of the Dow tickers.Check all of your stocks across your portfolios. Again, create a list for each portfolio; for example, buy and hold, trading, leveraged funds, and option-income funds, etc. You don't have to write every single one down. Again, it's not about listing every stock. It's about seeing the big picture and looking for opportunities, cycles, patterns, and market rotations.
Your homework isn’t going to be perfect. It’s not about making money; it’s about learning the process at first. The intention is to do it EVERY Sunday to become a sharp Money Flow trader and investor.
Let’s take a look at two MFG students' Sunday homework:
These students’ homework are unique, but show similar results and line up together with my homework as well. Yours might not look like any of ours and that’s okay. It takes consistency and time to become proficient!
Doing your homework should become automatic. Find a style or format that works for you and keep doing it every week. No one’s homework is going to look exactly identical, but should show a similar bigger picture. Don’t overthink or complicate this task. Write down what the charts are showing you. Just write what is.

GP’s Wrap-up
You’re awesome, MFG! I can’t thank you guys enough for trading and riding the wave with me on this journey to building wealth and becoming a multimillionaire. Your family depends on you as the King or Queen of their lives.
You must do your homework every Sunday. Come Monday you better have a game plan for the week! Again, this is absolutely critical to your success! Know which stocks are in a stage 3 to take profits from and which are in a stage 1 to look to add. Calculate your dividends for the week. Wealthy people regularly count their money.
You have everything you need inside of you to be more, do more, and to have more! The Universe has your back, remember that. You create your own truth and whatever you believe, that is true.
Do your fucking homework! Seriously, do it and send me a picture of it!
