MFG STATE OF THE MARKET 8-18-24
The markets were on fire this past week, and the major indexes had their best week of the year! The S&P 500 (SPY), the Nasdaq (QQQ), and the Diamonds (DIA) all entered picture-perfect, Money Flow stage 2 breakouts.
The positivity was driven by a mixture of easing inflation, robust retail sales, strong jobs data, and the growing anticipation that the Federal Reserve may start cutting interest rates soon.
As of now, it’s not definite that the Fed will reduce rates in September. The Fed's decisions on interest rates depend on various economic factors, including inflation, employment data, and overall economic conditions.
Gold (GLD) broke out and reached a new all-time high since last December! It hasn’t hit an extreme-high RSI yet, which means there’s room for price to keep climbing higher here. Silver (SLV) and Copper (CPER) also broke out.
Bonds (TLT) are still in a stage 3 zone above its 200-day SMA and trading in a wide upward channel. The breakout in Oil (USO) has lost some momentum just above its 200-day SMA.
Bitcoin (BTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) are still in stage 1 accumulation zones below their 200-day SMA. I’m a buyer of all stage 1s, and I currently have BTC futures contracts open. Be patient and stay in flow.

Last week was another amazing and lucrative week for the MFG portfolio! I collected massive monthly dividends and took home day trading profits.
The Peters Report: Swing Trade of The Week, Starbucks (SBUX), had its best day in company history due to its acquisition of new CEO Brian Niccol, the former CEO of Chipotle (CMG).
SBUX blew through its 200-day SMA target and hit its fair value of $95. The B&B trade in SBUX is now complete.

I rolled SBUX profits forward into a new position in OXY. I also added to my positions in leveraged funds TQQQ and UPRO. We saw a beautiful breakout move in the 2x leveraged silver trade AGQ!

I’m looking to accumulate shares of F, CVS, MRK, ALB, NUE, CVX, OXY, INTC, WBA, GGLL, ABNB, RDDT, AI, BITX, CLSK, CONL, WGMI, MSTX, BMXT, and extreme-yield funds AIYY, ABNY, CONY, IWMY, GOOY, AMZY, BITO, YBIT, and MSTY. I plan to add to positions in DKNG, TSLL, LYFT, and SOFI on any weakness.
