The Sunday Edition of the Money Flow Newsletter

MFG STATE OF THE MARKET 9-8-24

The markets sold off last week; don’t get bearish here. Bonds (TLT) is the leading asset class of “The Wind” and continues to climb higher. Historically, when interest rates are cut, the price of bonds goes up.

A stage 2 breakout is underway in TLT, but closed with a bearish doji bar on Friday. Gold (GLD) is still holding its stage 3 consolidation zone; however, price closed just slightly above its 20-day SMA and all Money Flow indicators are pointing down.

We will see this week if GLD holds here or rolls over.

All of the major indexes, the S&P 500 (SPY), the Nasdaq (QQQ), and the Diamonds (DIA) are in stage 4 declines above their 200-day SMA. This is most likely due to profit taking by institutions and fears of economic and political uncertainties by retail investors.

Bitcoin (BTC) is still holding its anchor point and in a stage 1 accumulation zone below its 200-day SMA along with Bitcoin Cash (BCH). I’ve been drip buying here. Oil (USO) is in a stage 4 decline and trading at a near extreme-low RSI reading below its 200-day SMA.

I see a lot of upcoming opportunities, but don’t rush into any positions here; “The Wind” is currently not in our favor. Be patient and stay in flow.

Last week was a lucrative week for the MFG portfolio!

I collected over $9,000 in dividends. Think about that— I did nothing to receive that money; no meetings, no phone calls, and no drives to work. Dividends are the only true passive income.

I didn’t make many moves in the markets. I drip added to BTC, BCH, and BITO.

US Steel Group (X) got smashed and fell 17% due to politicians aiming to block the purchase of X by Japan’s Nippon Steel. This is highly unlikely to happen. I have full faith in this company. I called an audible here and opened a trade in X.

This week, I’m keeping a close eye on UPRO, TQQQ, UDOW, USO, XLE, XLK, IWM, ARKK, AI, AMDL, AMZU, SNOW, CLSK, CRSP, CELH, GBTC, INTC, WBA, OXY, BCHG, CRM, CONL, DG, DLTR, BITX, NVDL, WGMI, UBER, DPZ, FCX, GOOG, USA, MRNA, WBD, BORR, ZIM, MBLY, X, and NUE for entries.

I’m looking to accumulate shares of PFE, DLR, CVX, ABNB, AGQ, and extreme-yield funds GDXY, BITO, MSTY, and KLIP.
