The Sunday Edition of the Money Flow Newsletter

MFG STATE OF THE MARKET 10-20-24

The markets continue to soar! Gold (GLD) hit a new all-time high, banged an extreme-high reading, and is the top performing asset of The Wind. Bitcoin (BTC) is right behind GLD tagging an extreme-high RSI reading and hitting previous highs.

Both the S&P 500 (SPY) and the Dow Jones (DIA) reached new all-time highs, while the Nasdaq (QQQ) also closed the week on a strong note. All three major indexes have now been on a consistent six-week rally, pushing even higher each week.

The DIA and the SPY are trading at near extreme-high RSI readings, which means price still has room to climb higher, but also use caution here.

Bonds (TLT) are in a stage 1 accumulation zone right above its 200-day SMA. Oil (USO) is in a stage 4 decline below its 200-day SMA. Utilities (XLU) was the best performing sector of the S&P 500 (SPY), while Energy (XLE) was the worst. Be patient and stay in flow.

Last week was another awesome and lucrative one for MFG portfolio!! My weekly dividends continued to increase as I build mine up to $1,000 per week.

👉Come Friday you should have more shares than you had on Monday, seriously!

We saw beautiful moves out of DAL, NFLX, CLSK, SOFI, RDDT, and BCHG. I closed my trade in AMDL for a a nice gain and added to ADBE, MRK, and F swing trades. I didn’t trim SOFI here; I believe it’s worth much more.

Current Market Rotation

After doing thorough research and reading over the weekend, we have a possible market rotation underway.

Investors are decreasing their exposure to AI leader stocks like the Magnificent 7 and buying into Bitcoin (BTC), value laggards like Consumer Staples (XLP) stocks, Utilities (XLU), and Real Estate (XLRE) and small-cap stocks in the Russell 2000 Index (IWM) along with Micro Cap Stocks (IWC).

I’m watching and looking to accumulate shares of CPB, KLG, DG, CUBE, MPW, and FE.

Bitcoin (BTC) has been on a beautiful stage 2 uptrend after finally breaking through its 200-day SMA. BTC just put in a doji and is now trading at an extreme-high RSI reading. I closed my futures contracts to lower my exposure to BTC swing trades.

ETSY ETSY 0.00%↑ is one of GP’s Trades of the Week still in a stage 1 accumulation zone. This is a shorter-term swing trade. The 7-day RSI went extreme, price put in a doji anchor point and jumped above the 5-day EMA, the MACD histogram ticked up to the bullish side, and the TSI curled and crossed. There is confluence of the Money Flow indicators here so I’m looking to add shares.

ADBE ADBE 0.00%↑is still in a stage 1 accumulation zone and trading 20% undervalued here. I plan to take my time adding shares while this stage 1 builds out. This is an expensive stock, but most brokers give you the option to buy fractional shares.
